Went there a few days ago to RENEW my 1-year "Spousal" RP. I was MISINFORMED by a PSB counter lackey that I could get either a 1/2 year extension without the need for a 2nd medical (I had to take one last time when applying for my first (fairly recent) 1-year said RP, or could get a 1 year renewal with another med!). {The new visa regs had come into effect about a year ago, a little before I had been given my 1st RP).

It has transpired the other day according to the PSB there, I'll need a 2nd med, but I know that's bullshit according to the law! I'm gonna push this one to the ultimate as I know I'm in the right! F'more, being 60+, I should receive a new 2-year RP if the PSB boss choses to sanction it! I wasn't told so, first by the counter PSB, and second by a PSB boss in the headman's office, 2 days ago, on Friday!

I think I might welll have to DEMAND a free 30-day extension to my present RP, which will expire on the 10th of July, in order to give me sufficient time to shoot down that PSB laoban, who has chosen to break his own country's visa regs! If he doesn't see things my way tomorrow, he'll have to provide me with the full contact details of his immediate superior! Then I'll continue my quest for justice with that higher-than-him PSB laoban.

Course, my Chinese wife and I will pursue the misinformation to get that a'hole fired if he won't change his tune. Those 'police' involved will be asked to write down in Chiense what their responses are, sign them, and also write down their police badge numbers. My wife will ensure they do it right! !2 hours from now, the trouble will continue!
