Don't waste your time in Lima if you are looking for a good beach. First of all, it's dangerous! There are many gangs and groups of poor young people looking for a quick buck. Second, the beach is made up of fist sized rocks. I don't know how the locals lay on them. Third, alot of pollution runs into the ocean out of the city.
