It was the middle of 2005 when I went with my family to the remote rural village of Yantalo in the Alto Mayo region, northern Peru. Dirt roads, most houses of mud and bamboo, neat clean children, most with no shoes. Two areas made an immediate impression: health and education. They impacted us in such way that the Yantalo Peru Foundation was immediately created with the specific mission to make a change in those two areas.

As of May 2009, ten medical - dental missions have visited Yantalo, as well as a number of independent teachers of English, math, art and sports. All vounteers from Peru, Canada and the USA. The foundation will do all it can to develop bilingual individuals with solid skills in the computer field. These young people will be responsible for a better future in their community.

Soon the Foundation is about to start the construction of a 16-bed International Clinic with the leading standards of healcare. Telemedicine, volunteer professors in the medical and dental fields with access to internet via satellite.
