Discover Important Tips on How to Relocate to Brazil
By:Benny Horowitz

Have you dreamed of living near the beach? Joining in the festivities at Rio De Janeiro? This could become a reality if you start making plans today. Here, I'll bring you the best important tips on how to relocate to Brazil:

1. Permanent visas are granted, in most cases, to those who have formed family relationships with Brazilians. Definitive permanence is granted to foreigners who have Brazilian children, as long as it is proved that they are under their charge and dependent upon them economically. Applications must be submitted at the Brazilian consulate.

2. Brazil has high unemployment, and visitors who enter the country as tourists are not legally allowed to take jobs. It's not unusual for foreigners to find English-teaching work in language schools.

3. Portuguese is the official language of Brazil. Learn to speak a little Portuguese before you go, this will help when conversing with locals or just getting around, aiding immensely before you relocate to Brazil.

4. ATMs are the easiest way of getting cash in big cities and are common. In many smaller towns, ATMs exist but rarely work for non-Brazilian cards. It's not a bad idea to take some cash and traveler's checks in reserve. Both cash and traveler's checks should be either in US dollars or euros.

5. All vehicles in Brazil must carry the registration document and proof of insurance. To take a vehicle in or out of Brazil, you might be asked for a carnet de passage en douane, which is kind of a vehicle passport, or a libreta de pasos por aduana, which is a booklet of customs passes.

6. Before you relocate to Brazil, ensure you check on rental properties or the price of houses. Sometimes it is easier to rent when you first arrive and then search for a home that suits you and your family later.

After reading these tips, are you ready to shake your rump at Carnaval? How about that nice dark tan you've always wanted? Get those Summer clothes out of your closet and start planning now to relocate to Brazil.
