If you want to sunbathe or swim nude during your next visit to Uraguay, there is only one place to visit. Follow these steps.

Playa Chihuahua is located 12 miles north of Punta del Este. A nearby airport offers easy access to the area. You can reach the beach by car or 30-minute COT bus ride from Punta del Este or Maldonado.

You will find few amenities at the beach. There is a snack bar (relatively expensive) and a lifeguard station, and you can rent beach umbrellas and recliners. You can also use the portable bathrooms.

A sign designates the nudist area, but you will encounter nude sunbathers all over the beach.
