How to Find Cheap Hotels In Cabo San Lucas
By:Collaborator

If you're looking for a hot tourist attraction with a small town feel, Cabo San Lucas is the place for you! Located just east of Baja's southern tip, Cabo San Lucas boasts breath-taking harbor views. It's also famous for its fishing. Get to know this treasure of a resort town that's home to the only coastal nature preserve in Mexico.

Know Your Destination

Watch out for pirate gold beneath your feet! Cabo is known for being a harbor for pirates from as early as the 1500s.

Recognize Cabo's real treasure. Pirate tales may hold tourists' interest on the boat tours, but the natural wonders of the area are the true booty. Cabo San Lucas is rich with ocean, mountains and deserts, making it a wonderful destination no matter what your favorite vacation activity is.

Know that Cabo San Lucas' coastal accommodations are located on its narrow 800-mile stretch of land, located 1,000 miles south of San Diego. This slender strip of land is graced by the Pacific ocean to the South and West and the Sea of Cortez to the East.

Choose Your Lodging

To book accommodations, contact Los Cabos Tourism Board at 1-866 LOS CABOS or visit their Web site (see Resources, below). Also, you can buy cheap tickets to fly into Los Cabos International Airport near San Jose del Cabo Mexico.

Plan ahead to get the best rates. Accommodations are at their highest rates during the peak tourist season, November to February, but cheap accomodations are easy to come by during the off season.

You can easily find cheap hotel accommodations for under $100 a night. You may have to sacrifice some amenities. But if you're planning on spending your days at the beach anyway, a basic room will be all you need.

Call hotels and resorts you're interested in visiting. Dealing with the company directly can sometimes be cheaper than Internet rates.

Book your accommodations early if you're traveling at peak times of the year. Though Cabo attracted very few tourists until the international airport was built in the 1980s, it has since become one of North America's prime vacation destinations.
