Argentina and Chile are located on the southern tip of South America. The countries border each other with the Andes mountain range in between. Exchange money to Chilean and Argentine pesos before you travel. You can also use travelers checks which are traceable in case they are lost or stolen, whereas cash is not. Carrying your money in a secure location and not in your suitcase is advisable. You can also exchange currency at the airport when you arrive to each location as well as in large cities such as Santiago or Buenos Aires.
