How to Learn French Sentences
By:Kelly Sundstrom

If you are considering traveling to France, then learning the French language is a wonderful way to converse with native French speakers. Luckily, it is no longer necessary to attend a class to learn French phrases and sentences. There are computer programs, such as Rosetta Stone, that allow you to learn the French language on your own time, right from your home computer.

Install the Rosetta Stone software program for the French language onto your home computer. You can order the Rosetta Stone software online at the Rosetta Stone Web site (see References below), or you can purchase the software locally at an office supply or computer software store. Follow the installation instructions carefully, which can be found in the Users Manual inside the software box.

Practice the Rosetta Stone French program every day. Set aside time during the day to learn the French language, ideally at least 30 minutes per day. Once you practice learning French sentences enough, it will be easier to converse naturally with native French speakers. If you can practice French more than 30 minutes per day, you can become fluent in the French language even faster.

Set up a "French Day" around your home, allowing only the French language to be spoken. This can help complement the Rosetta Stone program, enabling you to experience the French language as it would be spoken normally in conversation. This immersion method can help jump-start fluency, which can be very helpful if you plan to visit France in the near future.
