Free Language Lessons
To learn a language or not? There's so many reasons to learn another language and even more resources to do so that its hard to find an excuse not do it. Countless articles have been written on the subject and all agree on one thing: Learning a language is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Here are a few reasons why:
1. Widen your Understanding
2. Increase chances of being hired for a job
3. Improve your own language skills
4. Develop life skills
5. Stand out when Applying for Higher Education
6. Discover Cultures from Around the World
7. Enjoy Traveling
8. Be able to Live/Work/Study Overseas
9. Understand your own Culture better
10. Make life-time Friendships
The world we live in is already so connected and open that those that do not speak at least one foreign language will not be able to keep up with the new demands arising from such an intertwined (and competitive) playing field. By embarking on the task, your cultural barriers will be diminished greatly and learning yet another language after your 2nd becomes a lot easier. A good example might be that of a business owner (or soon-to-be owner). If you own a business, your possible clientele is automatically expanded as you can branch out an reach a new group of people, possibly increasing your profits. Who doesn't want that? Also, the 2nd language works the mind, helps it think differently, quicker, and in broader terms than before. It will be more agile and more open to your surroundings, and you'll be willing to absorb more in than usual, something that is crucial by itself.
In conclusion, the only reason to not start learning new a language is laziness. The task may seem daunting and time consuming but it doesn't have to be. There's a countless amount of programs and courses out there that make the process of learning manageable and sometimes enjoyable! Start learning!!
