The Haitian American Caucus- Haiti (HAC-Haiti) is a community development organization that advances opportunity and improves the quality of life for the people of Haiti. The Haitian American Caucus- Haiti supports a community center in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti from which it runs a primary school educating over 350 students from pre-kindergarten to 9th grade, and an English as a second language program for over 250 adolescents and adults.
HAC-Haiti is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic English Teacher to join our English teaching team in Haiti. This position is responsible for teaching accelerated English language courses for classes of approximately 30 Haitian adults and adolescents as well as teaching English language classes in our primary school. The ideal candidate will have English as second language teaching experience and a relevant certification.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required
TESOL or equivalent certification in English Language instruction required
2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience preferred
International living/teaching experience preferred

Individual tutoring/ mentoring experience is appreciated
Ability to quickly adapt to a new environment
Culturally sensitive and aware
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Strong organizational skills, including effective time management

Accommodations:
HAC-Haiti will provide housing in a shared space on the second floor of our compound. Three meals a day, purified drinking water, and Internet access is provided.
The instructor will be responsible for their own airfare but will receive free accommodation and food.

We are looking for someone to start between December and January and be available for 3-6 months.
