American Academy Language Center in Surat Thani city is seeking an experienced English teacher who holds a passport from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia or New Zealand. Only applicants who are; a) already in Thailand and b) willing and able to start working within a week or two can be considered.

The majority of the teaching workload is practicing textbook dialogues, one-on-one, with our students and checking, correcting & discussing textbook exercises previously undertaken by students. Students range from young children to working adults.

There are no 'office hours'. Total working hours are 25 per week consisting of 5 hours per day for 5 days. Teachers have 2 consecutive days off per week, on weekdays. Earliest start time is 10:00 am and latest finish time is 7:00 pm. Most days will involve split shifts, e.g. 10-12 & 3-6 or 1-3 & 4-7. Relaxed, easygoing working environment with no micromanagement and very little paperwork.

Salary ranges from B30,000 to B35,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Teachers who are confident that Surat Thani city would suit them and who are looking for a stable, long-term job are encouraged to apply.
