ISV USA is a summer language course provider and we are currently recruiting ESL Instructors who would like to work with us in the summer 2016 in our summer centres located in:

This is not an online teaching position.

Lessons take place every morning Monday – Friday 9:00 - 12:15 with a 20 - minute break.

Our courses usually run July – August. Exact dates to be confirmed in March.
Weekly compensation is $300 gross.
No accommodation provided.
Requirements:
• First Degree
• A state licensure in ESL or TESOL Certificate
• Native or native-level English speaker.
• Ability to achieve a high level of student participation during a lesson.
• Ability to ensure continuing students’ engagement during a lesson.
• Ability to adapt a coursebook to students’ needs.
• Ability to motivate and encourage students to speak English

We run our English language summer programmes for international students.
Our courses are designed to develop learner proficiency in English using communicative, student - centred methodology. Lessons focus on language activation, confidence building, and communicative competence.

We use a topic - based syllabus, that is full of practical functional language, which the learners will be able to use on excursions and during activities whilst in the USA, and also in real life after the summer.

Students are taught in classes of up to 15 and placed into one of 5 levels (Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced) upon arrival.

Each student receives a copy of our Quick Smart English coursebook, they can take away with them at the end of the course.

Teachers receive comprehensive lesson by lesson guidelines for the “Quick Smart English” series.

Despite the ready-made lesson guidelines, we expect our teachers to use their own creativity and adopt the materials to cater to students’ needs.

In addition to the coursebook and the lesson guidelines, we provide teachers with a selection of supplementary online teaching and developmental materials.

Teachers have access to these materials as soon as they return a signed contract.
