International ESL Jobs

Paris region, France

Hi.

I'm searching for an experienced EFL teacher who might be interested in a working partnership.
I currently teach a specialised course of Business English, and have done so part-time for 8 years.

I now wish to set-up a school in a suburb of Paris; to avoid the exorbitant rent in the city centre.
This is only an intermediate step for me, as inevitably I wish to relocate to the Fr-Sp border area.

The Initial school would be yours to take over alone in a year or two. Maintaining some kind of on-going working arrangement between the 2 sites.
My current work in focused in this region and I have family and friends to help with the initial set-up.

You'd need at least B2 French to help out with my students.
I don't have any experience with monolingual teaching and my clients expect the class to be an L1/L2 mix.
(I teach English from French and Spanish)

No great cash outlay required - but 50:50 on all expenses and basically just help each other out with student overload or a helping hand if things are quiet for one or the other.

Depending on how we get along, we could put it together as a full partnership or basically just share the facility (Grand word for a couple of rooms) each of us generating their own students and just supporting each other as and when required, again in the 'helping hand' sense.

You will need some kind of EFL or Celta certificate: I don't have any feelings on the matter, if you're experienced you'll know what I mean.
I'm required to follow a rigid syllabus for my existing students; it's subject to oversight by an authorising body.
But in general, you can teach in whatever manner you wish, as long as you're consistent.

Age and gender are really immaterial, but I imagine someone older would be better from a stability point of view.
Finding a new boyfriend or girlfriend and then taking off to Chile or Japan to find yourselves, would upset me if it happened at a critical stage.
Sorry to bring this up, but reality is reality...

Drop me a line at languageschool@europe.com if you'd like to discuss the idea.

Thanks for reading!

JP...

ps:
I'm in The UK until late September, and then The Netherlands until mid-October.
Hoping to start the school around Mid December...
