Hi. This would be my first time teaching ESL and I would like some advice from people who teached in China regarding the negociation of my contract, since I have an Advanced TESOL Certificate but no university degree, and very little formal teaching experience.

Here's basically what they are offering me for a 6 months contract:

1. RMB 4,500 per month with 20 teaching hours and two
days off per week, flexible working hours.
2. Return air tickets allowance is up to RMB 6,000
upon contract finished.
3. Free furnished accomordation.
4. Paid Public holidays (2 weeks)
6. Medical allowance is up to RMB 1,000.
7. Free Chinese lessons per week upon request
8. Visa, working permit and resident permit are assisted by the school.

How would you consider this? Excellent? Quite good? Just okay?

Should I ask higher pay/month?
