Re: I have an idea about what to do.....if feasable...

Fighting fire with fire is a dangerous option. By sending a virus we would be just instigating them to do more damage, not to mention illegal. It is best to blog the topic, send it out on forums like this, and black list there name. Teachers should realize to do a search on the school name and directors name prior to applying for any job.

I have an idea about what to do.....if feasable...

I was send the same....I replied to them by sending web links related to this fake and showing them that they have been revealed....still have their e-mail adress....Can't we send them a virus, with a e-mail? If yes, tell me how to do it, I will spread the good news!

Re: SCAM ALERT "High pay, $4750 USD per month, location in Dubai" - They ask US$350 for visa process

I was sent exactly the same...They even push their luck by offering me a written contract without having an interview before...It has alerted me and started inquiring, 'till I found the answer on that site....I was also told to never accept a contract in such a case....

Some people are very bad...

Re: SCAM ALERT "High pay, $4750 USD per month, location in Dubai" - They ask US$350 for visa process

I was sent an email with an interview form which required personal details from me. I still had no suspicions, however I googled the email address and came up with scam alerts. Now I'm concerned that my details will be used in identity theft. I can't believe that this has happened. It has also come to my notice that they require payment for work permits. I hope that the scam was only getting money off people....I hate to imagine that the culprits will use my personal details!!

Who can we report this to??

Re: SCAM ALERT "High pay, $4750 USD per month, location in Dubai" - They ask US$350 for visa process

Yikes!

I received the exact same emails!! I became suspicious when they offered the job and wanted to start the visa without so much as a telephone interview or even checking my references.

Who are the proper authorities to contact and have these fraudsters stopped?

Two important thoughts:
If you think that it's too good to be true...it probably is!
AND
Trust your instincts!

Re: SCAM ALERT "High pay, $4750 USD per month, location in Dubai" - They ask US$350 for visa process

Gary asked how I knew it was a scam. First clue: Second and third email quality was terrible. Second clue: They wanted money upfront, a big red flag! Third clue, the clincher: Their email address ends with the letters "tk", not "ae" as Dubai and other Arab Emirate countries do. "tk" means Tokelau, a small island in the South Pacific. Check: http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/num/domains.htm#t Best wishes. Barbara
