In response to Intesol (Sarrah)

Never heard of the outfits you mention. for the money you're probably going to be charged it'd probably be a safer bet to go with a CELTA course, it being so highly worshipped in this part of the world. i could be wrong.

Should be no problem bringing family members; it's not unusual here to score a spacious apartment - even a 2 bedroomer with more or less all mod cons and a few leaks, and i've worked with people who had family members staying with them for extended periods.

By the way, this Joe is and has been promoting services here in contradiction of the rules of use of this forum...there are heaps of jobs being advertised directly by schools/institutions. chances are u wouldn't have to resort to agents/ recruiters.

..and there has been a lot of talk about the rules having changed here and the necessity for "proper" qualifications (but who knows in this place)...to be on the safe side u might try to find out exactly what is "officially" required in the way of qualifications - maybe an embassy or consulate could tell you something...at least that way you would know whether or not you could be leaving yourself open to the possibility of blackmail by unscrupulous employers once u get here...

though there is no doubt that anyone, as they say, who is white, breathing and in China would probably be able to pick up a job somewhere, these days there seems to be somewhat of a glut of job seekers in places...
