Hello

Just noticed your message while browsing. I've been an EFL teacher here in the UK for over 3 years - there are lots of jobs, both perm and temp, although the private language schools don't always pay very well, and you have to guard against getting 'put upon', as there is always too much to do rather than too little!

Bear in mind that if you teach full-time, or even part-time, you can end up spending your whole life thinking about EFL - you really need to be dedicated if you're thinking of full-time work. But you can also choose to do only a few classes a week, and then the job is really flexible and works around you.

Good luck!

Anyone teaching EFL in the UK?

I'm in the UK and currently looking to do a CELTA course with the aim of teaching EFL to adults. Could anyone tell me if there are in fact any real opportunities to teach EFL to adults in the UK or if TEFL/CELTA qualifcations are mostly only useful overseas? Thanks.
