I missed this. Yep, good advice, just use Red Label to mix with coke or other stuff, or Ballantines or some cheaper option.
Personally I like Dewars, I don't drink it much though as I could easily go through a whole bottle of that.

Depends what characteristics and flavour you're after, but if you're just mixing it with soda, coke etc; just save your money and get the Red instead of the Black label or even just get Ballantines.
Sure, both the Black Label and Chivas are reliable choices of blends but I only drink them neat or in certain kinds of cocktails.
Well, tonight is the NRL Grand Final between Melbourne and Cowboys.
I'm gonna go to my local bottle shop soon to get some drinkies, a carton of "Fifty Lashes" plus a bottle of Scotch.
