Bitching and complaining about China serves no purpose other than to bring our gripes to the attention of people who are perhaps considering working here.

Doing so ain't necessarily a bad thing!

There's a wonderful T-shirt and car-bumper sticker that's often seen in Australia. It's an outline of the country's shape and inside it are the words 'If You Don't Like It, Leave!'

If I were considering emigrating to Australia, that would put me off doing so. I wonder if there are T-shirts and car-bumper stickers bearing messages like that seen often in other former British colonies, or the US, or Blighty itself! I don't thimk they are wonderful, but they DO point to a divided society, bigtime!

I guess the same can be applied to any country in the world. If China is going to change, it will do so. Our bitching and griping is neither heard nor understood, and if it was, they still wouldn't care.

I disagree - bitching and griping might not be a waste of time! You shouldn't assume it has no effect, coz you don't know. Neither do I, btw!
