St Edmund’s College is situated in 400 acres of private parkland near the Hertfordshire town of Ware. Approximately halfway between the centre of London and the historic university city of Cambridge, close to London Stansted International airport and the M25 London motorway, the College is the perfect blend of a safe rural setting within easy reach of major towns and cities.

The College, England’s oldest Catholic school, was first established in 1568 and the historic buildings have seen many generations of students over the years. These days, in this inspiring setting, girls and boys study through the year preparing for entrance to British universities. During July and August, the College hosts an international English language and activities course for ages 9–16, to which all are welcome.

Our typical 15 year old student might follow the Advanced Level in English in the mornings, and choose the Introduction to Shakespeare course in the afternoons. During her 3 week stay she visits Greenwich, Cambridge and the Science Museum, and chooses Shakespeare, Music and Photography as her 3 afternoon courses.
