The John F. Kennedy International School is a co-educational English-language boarding and day school for children ages 5 to 14 (grades K - . The student body is made up of 65 students from over twenty different countries. Boarding enrolment is limited to 30 students in order to maintain first-rate quality of care in our family-like environment.

The school's program is designed to meet the individual needs of each child and to provide a firm foundation of academic skills and work habits necessary for success in university-preparatory secondary schools. Due to the international nature of the school, a deliberate effort is made to foster a global viewpoint in the students, taking the learning experience beyond the classroom and utilizing Switzerland's vast natural and cultural resources. A rich offering of sports and activities aids in developing the whole person and in providing the students with constructive alternatives for the use of their leisure time.

The John F. Kennedy International School is located in Saanen, one of the most beautiful mountain villages in the Bernese Oberland, a region nestled in the Swiss Alps. It is three kilometers from the world-renown winter and summer resort of Gstaad.

By car, it is approximately 1 3/4 hours from Geneva, 1 1/2 hours from Bern and 2 1/2 hours from Zurich. By train, there are good connections from Geneva to Saanen via Montreux or from Zurich via Bern, Spiez and Zweisimmen.
