English schools in Europe
Tirana International School , a private non-profit institution that opened in September of 1991, offers high quality education in the English language for elementary and secondary students from 3 years through 17 years of age. The school facilities are located in converted residences inside a residential compound. The facilities are adequate for the current enrollment, and there is sufficient playground space for the students. Teachers live in nearby housing.
The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he enjoys his learning experience.
THE CURRICULUM includes English (reading, grammar, composition, keyboarding, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. Intensive English classes are provided for those with a limited knowledge of the English language. Extra activities are offered several days a week.
Tirana International School has accreditation through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Pennsylvania, USA.
