English schools in Europe

Bosnia & Herzegovina - Sarajevo
School:QSI International School of Sarajevo

QSI International School of Sarajevo ,a private non-profit institution, offers high-quality education in the English language for Pre-School (3-4 year olds), elementary students from five through thirteen years of age and a full secondary program for students from fourteen to seventeen years of age. The school occupies a fully renovated Bosnian Kindergarten located 15 minutes from the Sarajevo city-center in the quiet suburb of Vogosca. The facility includes a state of the art computer lab, library, science lab and makes use of the adjacent fitness facility offering tennis courts, playing fields, weight room, track and gymnasium. A downhill ski program is integrated into the Physical Education program and Bosnian, German and French are offered through our language classes. Bus service is available, as is a cafeteria and hot lunch program.
The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he enjoys his learning experience.

THE CURRICULUM includes English (reading, grammar, composition, phonics, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, languages other than English, and physical education as part of the regular program. QSIS offers Bosnian, French, and German at different levels for its students. A small, yet very adequate library is an important part of the school offering. The school has computers in each classroom and a small computer lab, all fully networked and INTERNET accessible.

Afternoon activities and special field trips are planned each term. Textbooks and library books are loaned to the students without charge. Most school supplies are provided.

QSI International School of Sarajevo has accreditation through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Pennsylvania, USA.
