The Anglo-American School of Moscow, founded in 1949, is an independent, coeducational day school, which offers an educational program from Pre-Kindergarten (4-year-olds) through grade 12.

Organization: The Anglo-American School is chartered by the American, British, and Canadian Embassies in Moscow through the aegis of a School Board. The Director of the School, and the principals of the Elementary School (PreK-grade 5), the Middle School (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12) manage the day-to-day operation of the School.

Curriculum: Students follow an international curriculum, which ensures a solid grounding in English/Language Arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Russian, French or Spanish, art, music, computer skills and physical education are also included. The high school provides a college-preparatory program leading to a High School Diploma that can be supplemented with International Baccalaureate certificates or a full IB Diploma. Students completing the full IB program typically receive priority placement at universities and are offered first-year credit for their higher-level courses. The elementary school is authorized to offer the IBO Primary Years Program. Students with mild disabilities or special needs are supported by resource teachers, a school psychologist and a speech-language pathologist. The School is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Council of International Schools and the International Baccalaureate Organization.
