Polish Tourism (Poland)
By:Max Bellamy

Poland flaunts many popular locations that have caught the imagination of tourists for a long time. It is rated as one of the finest tourist destinations in Europe. The country has an abundance of art, culture, and glorious history. Poland has everything to make a holiday memorable. The hospitality of the people and the local cuisine is very indulgent.

The golden sands of the Baltic beaches and the rocks of the Tatras in the south provide the perfect location for people who like to be in communion with nature. The scenic and rich natural beauty not only satisfies the nature lover, but also provides a playing ground for sports lovers. The Great Lakes are ideal for water sports, while the Bieszczady Mountains are perfect for hikers .The Bialowieska Forest, Biebrzanskie Marshes, Dunajec River Gorge, and the Slowinski National Park add adventure to the holiday.

Tourists who are students of history find Poland a storehouse of proof of the Nazi atrocities. Among these are the Royal Castles of Warsaw and the Castle of Krakow, the old capital of Poland, and the palaces of the Polish aristocrats. The museums in Poland bear testimony to the rich tradition and are reminiscent of its eventful past. Notable among these are the Nicolaus Copernicus Biographical Museum in Frombork and the salt mines in Wieliczka.

In addition to what the country offers nature and history lovers, Poland has a lot for the patrons of the arts too. It is the birthplace of the notable musicians, Chopin and Penderecki. Poland hosts many international music events, such as the Chopin Piano Competition and the Wieniawski Violin Competition. The Warsaw Autumn Festival focuses mainly on contemporary music, while the Jazz Jamboree draws another crowd. Poland is a popular tourist destination, and there are tourists who visit the country every few years.
