Multi-Cultural Hungary

One will generally feel that Hungary comes across as having a complex sense of identity. It regards itself not as Balkan or Slavic, but Western. History, as well reveals that the country is an assortment of cultures which can be a major area of attraction for tourism to the country. The mosaic of cultures and lineages that Hungary possesses can be understood by the fact that it shares shared borders with the Slovak Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Austria and Slovenia. The beautiful stretches of water such as Lake Balaton can be a tourist’s delight especially because they pulsate with hot, medicinal springs.

In spite of the complex sense of identity, what is worth acknowledging is that Hungary has nevertheless retained its unique language and customs. As a tourist what will strike you is the immense pride that the Hungarians have for their homeland. They will not hesitate to convince a tourist to spend time to explore Hungary’s thousands of acres of vineyards and orchards as well as 11 national parks and hundreds of protected areas. Hungary will attract you with its rich tradition of folk and classical music. Budapest, the capital city has for long been associated with writers, artists and musicians. It also has attractions for the young modern crowd. Modern music can be heard to spill out from nightclubs, trendy bars and discos. Hungary tourism has a culture of excellent hospitality which is exemplified by the hotels Hungary has to offer to the visitors.
