By:Gagan Makin

Munich is very much the fun capital of Germany in terms of the tourist places and spots that it possesses. The variety in terms of fun and frolic that Munich has to offer is tremendous. The laid back attitude towards life makes one feel at ease and in comfort with the surroundings. The vibrant nightlife is a treat for anyone visiting Munich. Beer gardens, food markets and the world-renowned annual Oktoberfest are attractions that keep a tourist in high spirits.

An interesting place to visit is the Baroque Palace in the western part of Munich. This building, which happened to be the summer residence of the Bavarian monarchs, has many outstanding collections. The interiors have been generously decorated and the famous ‘Gallery of Beauties” make the palace a favorite attraction. In the palace, the former bedroom of King Ludwig II and the frescoes on the ceiling of the impressive banquet hall are mind blowing and catch everyone’s attention.

Another one of the many prominent attractions is the Nymphenburg Palace Park. It is an adventure to go exploring in this landscaped park complete with venerable trees and countless waterways and isolated pavilions. In Munich, you get to see the first heated indoor pool of modern times at Badenburg – tiled and opens into a stucco marble decorated hall. The first garden pavilion – Pagodenburg will impress you like a precious jewel. The unique feature about this Chinese-style rococo creation is that it is French on the outside and oriental on the inside. In addition, its octagonal ground floor is covered with 2000 Dutch Delft tiles. “The Treasury of the Residence” and the “English Garden” and many other tourist attractions Munich has to offer to the world are there for you to visit and have fun.
