Bracelona: Your Search Ends Here (Spain)
By:Sumit Sharma

You start searching for a nice destination and Barcelona may be one where your search comes to an end. It holds true in many cases; whether you long for exploring the historical aspect of a city or you are inclined to art and culture. This obviously does not convey that Barcelona is not qualified as a modern destination for modern tourists. Museums, theatres, art galleries excellent architecture, diverse culture and lively lifestyle, everything leaves a good impression about this city on your mind.

The very first name my mind strikes is Las Ramblas—probably the best place to experience Barcelona. Just a short stroll on this pedestrian street and you will find yourself really energetic. Dozens of artistic stuff showcased can be found on this promenade. Outdoor cafes, book kiosks and many small markets keep you busy during your entire stroll. It also features many clubs, bars and restaurants. Once you are finished with visiting this promenade, check out for the equally thrilling Barri Gotic streets, a medieval quarter full of tapas bars and cafes. Els Quatre Gats, Picasso’s old hangout might be your next destination. You cannot afford to miss out the waterfront area of old Barceloneta too.

Spring is the best time to visit Barcelona when the temperature remains constant around 20 degrees Celsius. You might find it a bit difficult to communicate with people as most of then speak only Spanish. So, taking the help of a good phrase book is a good idea before you start off roaming the Barcelona streets. Places to stay in Barcelona are little expensive. However, the thrill and enjoyment associated with this place are sufficient reasons to compromise on the cost of accommodation.
