Situated in the southern part of Andalusia in Spain, Granada possesses qualities of a destination which you cannot ignore. This land is full of geographical and scenic characters. Granada is quite near the beach. You will find both warm and colder regions that suits to your need of travel. The coastal area and the extensive fertile land have a warm climate whereas the mountainous regions are characterized with colder climate. It is where you find the biggest peak, 3,481 meter Mulhacén, on the Peninsula of Spain.

Natural beauty of this city is doubled with it being situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where Darro and Genil Rivers meet. Hills contribute effectively in shaping up this city. The spectacular districts like Albacin and Alhambra grace the place with their historic value. As a tourist, you cannot afford to miss out on visiting the world Heritage Alhambra. Albazyn quarter is another place which is advised to everyone on the tour of Granada. Inhabitants have still maintained the flavor of the city. Houses with beautiful courtyards and colorful flowers adore the streets of Granada.

New part of the city does have that aroma of modern era. El Parque de las Ciencias, a science interactive museum is amongst the modern attractions in the city. It will also be good to reserve one full day for visiting the Zaidin quarter around the soccer stadium. Summer is good time to be in the coastal area. In winter you can enjoy skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountain range which is only 30 kilometers from here. Accommodation in Granada in no problem at all.
