Britain Holidays Prized Again (UK, Train)
By:Alison White

Nowadays the offers for great holiday are so many and so tempting that it is hard take a decision about where to go. Most of the offers are for spending the holiday overseas on the sunny coasts. But when deciding where to go there are so many things to be taken into consideration: the period, the whether and not last your family safety.

Inevitably when you travel abroad you have to fly and these days flying became one of the most stressful ways of travelling. This is one of ironies of modern life: when aircraft have become marvels of sophistication and comfort, a combination of Islamic mass-murderers, security nuts and overloaded airports makes the experience of going anywhere by plane very unpleasant. Starting with the departure lounge at Heathrow, the airport security line at Gatwick, the check-in at Manchester or the car park at Luton your trip begins under the auspices of threatening. The idea of nursing a pack of howling children through an airport terminal for hours, terrified of being caught carrying a tube of toothpaste or a bottle of milk makes you wonder where the holiday resting is.

But there are always other options and it only takes an open-minded person to see them. Have you ever thought about spending the holiday in the glens of Scotland? Britain has a lot to offer especially when you want to avoid a hell-flight across the Channel or the Atlantic. Of course, you can be caught in traffic jams and grubby motorway service areas, delayed trains and unreliable weather, but some of these events can be the spicy part of your holiday trip.

The joys of the open road and the wonderful things one can find at the end of it are what a caravan holiday is offering.

What is remarkable about Britain is how much remains today to be explored and revelled in. The great white beaches of the north coast are best choice if you are tired of the overcrowded islands and the tracts of England’s wildernesses, as well as Scotland’s, offer you the opportunity to walk all day while scarcely seeing another human. Every region of Britain boasts more historic houses and churches than one could visit in a month.
