Spain - Valencian Nightlife

Valencia is not only beautiful during the daytime; it is vibrant at night under the Mediterranean sky. Apart form the many Fiestas that are held in Valencia every year, there is an abundance of nighttime activities for both locals and tourists.

Whether you love performance, dining, or dancing, Valencia offers many choices of entertainment both in the city and smaller towns. Famous for it’s nightlife, Valencia has many bars and nightclubs, many open until dawn.

Valencia also has many delightful restaurants and dinning is very much a part of Valencian culture. Valencians are very friendly and the weather is usually warm, which makes Valencia’s nightlife very appealing.

It is difficult to mention all of Valencia’s café’s, bars, restaurants and other nighttime venues, as there are so many wonderful places to experience when in Valencia, however here a just a few ideas.

Café Sant Jaume is situated in the Plaza Sant Jaume, which is in the Old Quarter of the City of Valencia. The atmosphere of the Old Quarter is diverse and full of charm. Café Sant Jaume is just one of the lovely Cafes that offer you a place to relax and soak in the Valencian culture.

The Beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa

At night the areas surround the beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa come alive. A combination of Valencia’s lovely Mediterranean weather and beautiful beaches sets the scene for a myriad of memorable experiences. Visiting either of these areas at night is a must, while in Valencia.

Palau de les Arts

While in Valencia, you should take the opportunity to savor some of Valencia’s Arts culture. Palau de les Arts is one of Valencia’s finest modern Arts venues and features nighttime performances in their Amphitheatre, Chamber Music Hall and Experimental Theatre.

Although there are many wonderful things to see and experience in Valencia throughout the week, Friday and Saturday nights tend to be the most popular nights for going out. Weather you enjoy social dancing, walking along the beach front, or watching a unique performance at one of the many arts venues, you are bound to be transformed by the nightlife found in Valencia.
