If this job interests you please respond with a cover letter, resume and recent photo via e-mail to ieahogwon@gmail.com You will be dealing directly with us, the native English speaking teachers at the school. You won’t have the hassle of dealing with any third party recruiters. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have about this position.

Gapyeong is a fairly small town surrounded by mountains, there are good hiking and MTB routes, and a ski slope in the surrounding area. Very close to Gapyeong is the famous Nami Island. Gapyeong is a popular place for Koreans to come during the weekends.

You will have the use of a nice mountain bike, and a small car if you have an international driving license or wish to exchange your local driving license for a Korean one (this is a huge perk that no school offers). There are a few supermarkets and a local market (once every 5 days) within 5 mins walk of your apartment. There is a long distance bus station within a 10 minute walk, and the subway station is about a 20 min walk away or a 8 minute drive.

Gapyeong is east of Seoul, close to Gangwon-Do. If you take the express ITX train it takes 55 minutes to get to the middle of Seoul. If you take the normal subway it is close to an hour and a half. Living in Gapyeong is the best of both worlds in Korea. You are surrounded by mountains, rivers, and nature but you are close enough that you can make the trip into Seoul every weekend if you want. The air is definitely much cleaner out here than Seoul. The other benefit is that there are 3 foreign teachers at our school so you will have people to talk to and help show you around the area.
