 Presently Principal In-Charge (I/C) of a senior secondary school under CBSE. Earlier worked as Principal I/C in two other schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 As Principal, responsible for smooth functioning of the School. Look after both academic, co-curricular, cultural and administrative affairs.

 Regular Teaching Periods for senior secondary students - English, Environmental Studies (EVS), General Studies (GST) – Life Skills, Current Affairs etc.

 Responsible for academic affairs like monitoring of lesson plan and class room transactions, review of
academic evaluation under CCE Programme. Facilitating and implementing plans for late bloomers and bright learners.

 In-charge of Academic, Discipline and Cleanliness Committees of the School.

 Assisting Principal in day to day management of the school.

ACADEMICS

 Created a vibrant interactive teaching- learning environment based on constructivism through role play, simulation exercise, project based and research driven activities etc. thereby enhancing all the four skills of language learning.

 Enhanced creative skill of students through project based learning - “100 Words”, propagated during Beijing Olympic.

 Enriching education through “School Enterprise” – Teaching the key concept of business and entrepreneurship, along their curricula. To build a new generation of empowered young people who would like to experiment and dare to take risk in life.

 Facilitated teaching ideas to improve teaching-learning process:

- Learner’s autonomy, a self- directed learning, in developing writing skills.
- To reflect, analyse and evaluate the learning outcome after the class.
- Teachers to act as mentors and role models.

 Designed Questionnaire and visited schools for feedback survey on the implementation of Common Minimum
Program (CMP) for primary section students. Based on the survey findings, prepared modules on” Master Trainer Program” for primary Teachers to help cascading down its concept and implementation plan.

 Assisted The Director, ZIET, Chandigarh in organizing and conducting In-service course for Teachers.

 Served as Resource Person for English during In-Service course for Trained Graduate Teachers.

 As Post Graduate Teacher in English achieved 100% results with increasing Performance Index (PI) over the years – Achieved PI of 90%.

ADMINISTRATION

 Involved in the process of handing over and taking over of buildings from CPWD, Govt. of India in two locations.

 Managed the school seamlessly during the tenure as In-charge Principal. Introduced orientation program for parents of class –I, sharing ideas on mutual expectations of the Parents and the School.

 Served as in-charge of the school committees on Academics, Discipline, Cleanliness, Admission, Examination and worked with the team members towards achieving academic excellence in different schools.

 Adept at people management, maintaining healthy staff relations, handling staff grievances thus creating an amicable & transparent environment.
 Deft in managing general administrative activities including organising Seminars, Workshops, Office Operations, Housekeeping, Vendor Development, daily finance etc.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

 Attended Master Trainer Program on “School Entrepreneurship” in 2012 organised by British Council, India. Prepared pupil with the knowledge, skills and values to face future challenges in work and life.

 Selected from Kolkata Region to participate in the National Seminar on Education in 2013 and had a focus group meeting of participants from 17 regions deliberating on implementation of CMP in schools.

 Attended a 12-day orientation Program for teachers on development of computer based learning materials organised by NCERT.

 Attended Master Trainer Program on Project based Learning organised by INTEL.

 Organised student Youth Parliament competition in schools. Trained to train and conduct Youth Parliament.

EXTRA-CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES / COMMUNITY SERVICE

 Conducted Happiness Survey among children in a slum in Kolkata followed by awareness programme on Self-Reliance.

 Facilitated Young Leaders Program in Osaka, Japan in 2007- Empowering Youth to groom themselves as future leaders.

 Presented a Theme Paper on “Green Environment” in the Workshop on Green Scout Movement in Sri Lanka in 2010 organised jointly by SARVODAYA, Sri Lanka and JAFS, Japan.

 Involved in community Services through local organisations,

- Awareness Program on “Say No to Plastics”
- Orgainsed Green Awareness Programme where students cleaned their school campus and painted

school walls under the guidance of a trained Artist.
- Collected tree saplings from Forest Deptt. for tree plantations at School and College.
- Organised cultural Program for students in Blind school.

 Facilitating discussion on gender sensitisation during Parent-Teacher Meetings and involved in Adolescent Education Program in school.

 Selected for participation in Global Forum of Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts in Dubai, 2015.
 Visited Dean Barwick School , UK in 2013 under the reciprocal visit grant award as part of Global School Partnership Program under the aegis of DFID and British Council. Emphasis was on collaboration and not on competition.

 Our School achieved 100% result in AISCE - 50 students scored 10 CGPA highest in Kolkata Region (KVS) and 98% result in AISSCE during 2012-13.

 Involved in preparation of application document for Accreditation by Quality council of India – Received accreditation in March, 2013.

 Contributed towards International School Award (ISA) by British Council – Awarded ISA for the years 2007-08 and 2011-12.

 Conducted action research in school on ‘Global Citizenship’ to create awareness and prepare students to face the challenges of 21st. century.
