ABOUT ME

My name is Sergey Gorbanev. I`m from Moscow, Russia. I enjoy travelling and communicating with new people. I have been to European countries, such as Italy, Swiss, Germany and others. But Asia and it`s culture seem to me the most attractive. I like to exchange experiences and knowledge.

Also, I`m interested in music and literature. I like reading books, either by Pushkin, London, Hemmingway or Murakami. I like to study, that is Japanese I learn at the moment. My wife as well inspired with Japanese culture, and we have been there few times. During last trip I got a lot of pleasure from practicing Kendo in country of its origin.

I graduated from a technical university and I have a lot of job experience in an engineering company as an executive as well. But meanwhile my hobbies have led me to become a teacher. I have studies English from when I was a student in school and, at the moment while being enrolled in a teacher program, I feel enthusiastic for teaching others and I want to show them the beauty of the English language.

A language is consists of not only rules, but includes it’s cultural and situation aspects;
An effective communication between teacher and students significantly increases the learning progress;

Everyday I try to learn something new to improve my teaching skills;
I use topics for my lessons from life situations and from the special teachers’ resources;
I try to know my students well to inspire them on learning.

I began my voluntary activity some time ago. I teach children from 6 to 14 years old English, and I talk them about Japan and Kendo. I like to use my skills which I getting from my current study. I like to share with kids my knowledge and to communicate with them. I make efforts to change learning into the fun process. I want to help them find their own potential. With every lesson I like to teach more and more.

At moment I`m enrolled on TESOL program, and I going to finish it in couples months. So I’m looking for a job in Asia related with ESL teaching. I feel enthusiastic to start teaching.
