I want to be the best teacher I can be. I believe working abroad would be an incredible learning experience and I want to be able to pass that on to my students throughout the rest of my career. I've been teaching full-time for 7 years and I'm very excited about the possibility of expanding on my experience with new opportunities to teach English abroad for either a class room and/or for individual students. I'm an experienced teacher with a Diploma of Education, a TESOL/TESL/TEFL certificate, and a Diploma of Music.

I'm very passionate about my work. I think I bring a lot of enthusiasm to my classes. I enjoy being creative and resourceful with my lesson planning. I believe a successful teacher ensures students are inspired and that they have an emotional connection with the subject. I enjoy bringing in a variety of student centered approaches to my classes to connect with students of various learning styles.

After several years of working as a professional musician, I began my teaching career as a private music instructor. I built a small business providing in-home or in-studio private music lessons. I enjoyed the work very much and decided to pursue a teaching career. I completed my Diploma in Education 2 years ago and I'm near completion of my BA in music. For the last several years I've been an instructor and program director at a private music school, instructing individuals and groups, and overseeing the development and administration of a cutting-edge music education program. I hope to one day be working as a teacher in a public high school.

I've included with my application a copy of my resume. Please don't hesitate to be in touch at any time. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, Blake
