Dear Director,

My name is Ryan Madden, and I am a Native English speaker from Australia with 4.5 years of teaching experience and I am presently in the final semester of my Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL degree at the University of Technology Sydney. My aim is to obtain a full-time ESL teaching or management-level position with your institution, and help deliver the best learning environment possible for our students. I am qualified in TESOL at postgraduate level as an English teacher and believe I would be a definite asset to your school.

I have completed 2 years of teaching experience at the Zhi Di Centre of New Dynamic Institute in the city of Hefei (the capital city of Anhui Province), a private language institution spread throughout mainland China. During my time there, I was required to deliver public classes, such as English Corners and/or Movie Classes; I was required to co-host extra-curricular activities (ECA's) with my Chinese colleagues, on topics such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Mothers/Fathers Day; and I was required to plan lessons and materials prior to a scheduled class.

At New Dynamic Institute, I taught a variety of age ranges and demographics - male and female students aged from 5 years old, to those over 50, and everyone in between; middle-school/high school/ university and working professionals - in a variety of classroom environments; that is, in 1-to-1 situations, private classes (ranging from 1-4 students in a class), salon classes (ranging from 1-10 students), and public classes (ranging from 1-50 students).

Further to this, I have completed an additional 2.5 years of teaching experience at Sydney Language Solutions in Sydney, Australia. During my time at SLS, I have taught IELTS Reading focused classes, English Pronunciation and Conversation classes and Business English and ESP classes, as well as planning curriculum and teaching for a study tour group in early August 2015 and 1-to-1 classes with the same focus areas as mentioned prior.

If you feel I may be a good candidate for the vacancy you have listed, you can reach me by mobile phone at +61 421 082 654, or by email at ryan.peter.madden@gmail.com. I am available to begin work from mid-November 2016, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Ryan Madden
