My name is Genevieve Watkins and I am 36 years old.

I have two experience in Teaching, both in South Africa as a Montesorri Teacher, Volunteer teaching in Thailand and Private student teaching in Malaysia.

I have a Diploma in Communications, A Bachelors Degree in Arts and a TELF course certification.

I am a motivated, confident and have exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills.

I have extensive experience in identifying the needs and requirements of my responsibilities and successfully fulfilling them with pride and professionalism.

I am able to quickly understand the mission, vision and values of an organization and willingly go that extra mile to retain and build not only the organisations reputation but my own as a teacher as well.

I am seeking a good position within a stable, positive and School where opportunities for growth is also offered. I have the ability to grow and learn with a School and Community, handle responsibility and build positive relationships with the children I teach, their parents and Guardians, my work colleagues and supervisors.

I am confident in my experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications and my ability to adapt and adjust in any way necessary to fulfill all duties as required. I am committed to excellence and success. I am a very quick learner and will with ease learn any new skill as required, putting in the extra time and effort to study, research and practice as needed to fulfill any task and responsibilities.

I adapt to Students needs and am very flexible within the classroom and private lessons. Building Students confidence is one of the most important aspects to teaching for me and building a good rapport and relationship of trust between myself and my students.

I am extremely culturally aware and very open minded and respectful in all these areas. I believe language is breaking down the barriers that divide us culturally.

I take time and pride in pre-planning all my lessons and make sure they are fun and creative but also use many different tools to ensure the students are learning while enjoying the lessons.

I am not a dominating teacher and I love to sit on the floor with my students and get to know them and use techniques and course material that suits the age and level of the students.

I am solution based and always friendly and use positive re-reinforcement rather than negative re-reinforcement to ensure the students are kept motivated and engaged and activated during the lessons.

I react quickly to any problems and solve them without disruption or deal with the problems after the lesson. I am very sensitive to the Students not being “picked” or concentrated on as to not embarrass or upset any Student at any time.

I am passionate and a caring person and being a part of developing teaching the next generation of young or adult students who will be able to go and do what they dream of with the ability to speak and understand English is a gift I want to keep giving.
