I am a British native, educated in England, teacher and coach, experienced in EFL, qualified, well travelled and very culturally aware, high level of IT skills, member of British Mensa.

I have my TEFL certification of 120 hours incl. practical teaching and specialist modules Business English, Limited resources, Young Learners and large classes.

Private School in Southern Italy. Cambridge English courses, older teenagers / adults but also teaching State School teachers using a self designed course. Talks to State School teachers in Italy – approaches to CLIL and English integration into teaching other subjects.

Previous 'Homestay' accommodation provider experience. Currently working in Southern Italy at a private school. Cambridge courses to teenagers, adults and university students, as well as a self designed course for teachers.

Two years teaching in Chinese University incl. students application, IELTS exam and cultural preparation for western Universities.

Prior to my ESL experiences I have always been involved in academic and/or learning environments, made my own training courses for work and leisure activities such as football, cycling and Life Coaching. I believe I am equipped to deal with all learning situations. I am accompanied by my wife, a teacher trainer and advisor in education and the NHs for many years who is also an EFL teacher.

I am a responsible, conscientious and thoughtful person, I care about what I do and try to do it to the best of my ability. I am flexible in my methods in order to find the best and most efficient learning path for my students. I also enjoy the company of my students and the learning experience is one to be enjoyed with some humour; I too learn a lot form my students about life and culture. I have had an interest in other cultures since the age of 7 enjoying my formative years of my career surrounded daily by foreign postgraduate students and helped many with the writing of their English PhDs.

I am a fit and healthy person, even this year I have kept fit by walking and swimming and enjoying playing football with the students. I have many interests and hobbies which keep my mind active and interested in the world. My knowledge of British history and culture has been used to give special awareness lectures to students and staff.
