Please read carefully: I am a highly committed teacher and I would like to be contacted by equally committed individuals who take their job seriously and are not just looking to make a quick buck. I have been teaching in China for almost 4 years now and I have grown increasingly aware of the amount of BS that goes on in the local ESL industry, to the point where now I feel the need to avoid any unwanted interaction with such individuals.

Just so we're clear on this, I am originally from Italy and my first language is Italian, but part of my schooling was abroad. As a so-called 'non native' teacher I have grown to have very little tolerance for recruiters offering me a job and later on informing me that I don't meet the requirements for it. As someone who's fluent in three languages and holds an M.Ed. in applied linguistics as well as a DELTA, I would like to think I'm more than qualified for the majority of the positions being advertised on this job board. I am very aware of the fact that some countries have visa requirements in place that take into account nationality, but there's a great many that don't. If you simply find it hard to grapple with the notion that one's nationality does not necessarily bear a causal relation to their English proficiency (or lack thereof), then chances are I don't want to hear from you and much less work for your school, so please don't bother contacting me.

If your English is good enough to make it this far, you'll have realized by now that this extended rant of mine is mostly aimed at weeding out time wasters and people who have no business in this industry. If you don't fall in that category, you're very welcome to get in touch with any questions you may have re: my qualifications / experience. If you do get in touch, though, I'll just assume that no mention will be made of visa-related logistical difficulties. Be straightforward and honest with me, that's all I'm asking.
