In response to British English: Unusual Tense Endings (John)
These are not examples of unusual tense endings.
They are simply examples of how you pronounce the past verb form and the past participle verb form. Words that exist in American English also, but through laziness, regional pronunciation or colloquial use are rarely used in the correct manner.
Neither is British English archaic; correct use does not equal archaic!
