Hi!
Today I would like to talk about prepositions. This is an area even advanced students struggle with.
So lets start with Prepositions of time
-Using In
So the preposition in is sometimes used in phrases containing time.
When in is used like this it is always followed by noun.
Examples:
I'll see you in the evening.
I'm going to be here in the morning.
We lived there in 1984.
Some things to remember!
Do not use in with specific calendar/time moments:
This is incorrect "I'll see you in 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.
-The expression in time means "not too late."
An example:
The discussion began at 10:15. She arrived at 10:05. She was in time for the discussion.
So that's all for today, please contact me, or contact me through Our Language Cafe, I will be building my own site soon!
