Re: The Argument Between American Versus British English

I have often been asked the question "which accent is better, American or British?" My answer is always the same, "neither." There is no doubt that the American accent is the most easily understood accent since more American movies and TV shows are broadcast and watched worldwide than British. After all, Hollywood is in the United States. And as an American I am obviously partial to my own accent, but I would never say it is better than any other accent. When it really comes down to it neither accent is better, what it comes down to is what accent is better for you. You need to ask yourself who will I be talking to most often, American or British people? Which country will I most likely visit? Who am I going to be doing business with most often? Answering these questions will undoubtedly tell you what accent is best for you.

We all know that there are two of the most common classifications of English language known in the world today. There are actually other variations but it all wraps down into two, and these are basically the American and British English.

Have you thought which of which is the better
