How to Identify Your Strengths & Get the Job You Want
By:Benjamin Wise

To me this is critical, you need to understand yourself and furthermore why you want this job. In terms of understanding yourself, you need to take inventory of your strengths. You will then need to be able to clearly identify those strengths and prove how your skills can benefit the company.

In order to evaluate strengths you will also need to look at weaknesses. This will be to your benefit because in the interview you may be asked, "What are your strengths and weaknesses"?

By identifying your weaknesses you will come at your strengths. In order to do this you could talk to friends and family and ask them what they think. This is really important because it will help you to get a more objective read on your capabilities rather than solely going on your own opinions.

Then you need to write these down and expand on them. You will more than likely also need to do some editing. Once you have this done you will need to find your hot buttons and elaborate on them.

These hot buttons will be the subjects that really get you fired up and when in the interview you will want to frame it in a way that will enable you to bring these issues up in a relevant fashion.

By really understanding your strengths you will be in a far better position to explain how they are of value and more importantly how those very strengths can get the company results. Remember when it comes to doing business results are of the utmost importance.
