So start a more forward-thinking discussion with your boss by mentioning a common goal you have and say, "I'm willing to make a long-term commitment to help this company grow to new levels of success." Your boss probably views younger employees as job-hoppers, so saying this (and then mentioning all your hard work) will score you a raise or at least a spot on her short list for a promotion.
