Ro, a 'rudimentary language lab' is a euphemism for 'standard school-issue computer(s) being used to help students practice their listening and speaking skills'. In other words, a computer lab fronting as a language lab. It may be many computers. It may be only one or two.

The 'real' language lab I'm trying to assemble will have computers, sure. These computers will also have mics, recording software, and interactive programming. I'll TRY to turn several of such computers into a geniune LL by placing them in (mostly) sound-proof 'cubicles' to ensure privacy. This means money. Money I may not have access to.
