A very effective way to teach ESL students is through the use of the Communicative Approach. The Communicative Approach uses everyday, easily understandable language that is presented in a Conversational setting using real life situations such as going shopping, going to the bank, buying stamps at the post office, meeting and greeting people, etc. Within each conversation, students are not only exposed to new vocabulary words but also to sentence and grammar patterns.
