How to Manage Large Classes

In Response To: How to manage large classes? (Lindsey)

Dear Lindsey,

Managing a large class can be very difficult. I have been in that situation before. One suggestion I can give you is to use a lot of small group activities for practice. Also, while each group of no more than four students is working together, you should circulate around the room and "listen in" to each group while they are working. That way, you can monitor their progress while at the same time making sure that each group stays on task.
