Question: I am having trouble with discipline and classroom management in my classroom. Any advice?

I found that students will be more cognizant of classroom rules if they are allowed to help create the rules for the class. This allows for student buy-in and thus helps to make students to be accountable for their actions.

Class rules should be written in a positive manner, i.e. "Respect the rights and property of others" and should be kept to a level where there are no less than three or more than five rules.
