Re: Running an English Corner
In Response To: Running an English Corner (Rosalind)

about two months ago I had a few students request help in speaking/listening. I told these students to speak the days lessons while walking home.
As an example if we did colours today I asked them to Ask their friend while walking home to ask "What colour is that car, that bike, that dress" etc. The friend would reply in full by answering "That car is red etc." Not just red.
These students are far ahead of the rest of the class not just in dialogue but confidence.
My problem is how do you get the whole class or at least the majority to participate?
Would an English corner be a waste of time with small numbers and a limited vocabulary?
My classes are excellant in so much that the students only speak English in class
:? :? :?
