I am teaching English in a primary school that begins teaching English in grade 3, with 8-10 year old children. The textbooks used, however, were designed to teach 5-6 year old children beginning English. By beginning English I mean starting with the ABC's. I really feel that the text is demotivating. The children recognize that the book is for younger children. Are there books written for grade 3 students that begin with the ABC's, but are more age sensitive?
